Our Philosophy:
We believe in building relationships with our clients. That's why, when you contact us, we like to set up a time to meet with you. We do this for several reasons:
1. We want to get to know you. Everyone is unique and we love getting familliar with your personal style. Then when we set up the shoot, we will already know what you like, and have a glimpse of your personality.
2. We also believe in meeting in person because, just like anything that is customized, prices vary depending on the level of the customization of the photo shoot. Pricing is obviously going to be different for something basic and simple than if you want to be dangling from one helicopter while I take photos dangling from the other.
Portraiture:
We try our best to discover you and your style and capture it. That is our goal.
Portraiture is a very broad word at Laning Photography. Usually, the word conjures up images of people clad in sweatervests, rigidly smiling for the camera. With us, it simply means a picture that captures YOU. Sometimes people want photos of them being themselves, showing a new side of themselves, or even enjoying being someone else for a moment (even that says something about them).
Weddings:
We are documentary style wedding photographers. Simply put, the focus of our wedding photographs is to catch the candid moments of the day. We love capturing all of the genuine, unstaged beauty, drama, and emotion of a wedding. We want to capture tenderness of the groom and his father sharing a hug just before heading to the chapel, and the beauty and humor of a bride putting on her makeup and preparing for the ceremony. Those are the moments we are out to get.
The End Product:
We believe that the pictures are yours to use. That being said, regardless of what printing options you choose, you will receive a DVD of the selected, retouched images. Apart from selling them as your own, those images are yours.
